Default Greetings from San Francisco Jun 2012

Finally wised up and joined today. It's now 3:30 a.m. and I've got Jag on the mind. My life revolves around the care and feeding of my 2000 XJ8. I'm over the traditional hump of a new transmission and points, (I think they're still called points) various sensor replacements for my radiator reservoir that lasted about two weeks each, and of course my ABS light is continuously on. However, nothing has gone wrong on the car for over 8 months, and I am dumbfounded.
I dream of finding a way to route an Ipod cord to a possible existing din connector in my trunk to direct route my Ipod output from it's headphone jack in the correct two pins of the din out from hopefully a CD din line somewhere in my trunk. I've killed my cassette player recently, and the thing won't even take a cassette adaptor now. Well, enough of that...I'm happy to be a member here, and love my ride. A good wash and it looks almost new, in it's titanium glory.....

Welcome to the forum,

Good to have you with us.
Sounds like you are eternal optimist, don't spend too much time in the trunk.

You should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Welcome to the forum.

I don't understand around half of what you are talking about but routing a line from a head unit to the trunk is no real biggie, you just have to strip out the center console, rear seats loosen a side panel and come up with a method of feeding the line along side of the existing loom.

Have fun.
