Hi everyone,
While I'm new to the forum or using any forum like this I have been a long term jag owner. I currently own a 1998 XJ8L in white. Previously I owned a 1997 XJ6 and then a 2002 S-type. My current car has been in the family since it was new. It has been very reliable with minor frustrations over the years. My current problem is the headline has started to droop. I have been told to get it fixed is going to cost about $500. Is that reasonable?

Hi RDLane:

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you've had a lot of Jaguar experience. I would imagine that if a shop did the headliner, it would cost something like that though I don't know for sure. It's practically all labor. I did my '91 a couple of years back for about $40 and an afternoon in the summer sun. I'll be doing my '98 next year, which I think will be a bit trickier due to sun roof, etc., but by no means insurmountable.

Best of luck!
Scott

Welcome to the forum Rdlane,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar Forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X308 tech section so there's no need for a link from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
