Default new to me cat owner

glad to have found this forum. this is my 1st Jaguar it is a 2002 S type 4.0 and am sure ill have lots of questions in time. Im a hands on guy and enjoy working on cars and my jeep pickup as a hobby.
was wondering is there place here for the S type and in general do you guys consider it a true Jag or just a fancy ford like my parts guy tells me.

Follow Norri's link to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

And greetings from a Midwestern neighbor. Hope you're prepared for the next arctic blast! Well, I can't speak for anybody else, but I've always loved the S-type and consider it just as much Jag as anything else. Why not?

thanks all for the warm welcome. as far as my parts guy,i thought so. well as long as im getting 15% off I guess ill put up with a bit of crap.
as far as the artic blast im not sure we will get to much. we have been pretty lucky weather wise. im on the south shore of lake Erie and until it freezes over winters are pretty mild
