Headrest removal

I have just purchased a 2003 XJ8 and want to put seat covers on the front seats but I can not seem to be able to remove the headrests. It was so easy to do this on my last 2001 XJ8. Is there a special way with this model. I have tilted the seat back extended the rest fully up and pulled like my last model but it will not come out . Help!!

Hey Martin,
welcome to the forum buddy.
Saw your post and was about to move it to the XJ8 section but saw that you already posted there too. I've asked the members to give you an answer as soon as poss so we'll see what happens with it. I'm sure its pretty simple although I had a similar problem with my A6 at one point. Turned out it was so simple I ended up a bit embarrassed.....lol
