Default Hello!!

Hi everyone! I just joined and will have lots of questions as well as reading a lot of posts. My wife and I just bought our first Jaguar, it’s a 2004 X Type, with the 3.0. It’s actually my first British car. I have had lots of American cars and trucks, I am into hot rods and have built quite a few. I do have a Triumph Bonneville in my garage next to my Harley, so this Jag isn’t my first British vehicle, but first British car. I should probably note that the Triumph is in pieces, but that’s for the Triumph forums!!
The X Type is in pretty good shape, and I think we got a pretty good deal from the guy selling it. It’s a bright blue with a light creamy leather interior, it’s kinda like the TARDIS on wheels. The only complaint really is the former owner was a heavy smoker, and the first few seconds when you get in is pretty rough on the nose.
There is a problem with the lights, but I may just start a thread if I don’t see anyone else has already posted one. I’ll look around first.
I am in a forum for Jeeps, as well as Ford Expeditions, and a couple Harley forums, and will try my best to adhere to this forums procedures and etiquette, but if I do or say something wrong please be helpful in correcting me. I am here to learn about the Jaguar, not have a peeing contest or be insulted by someone because they know more than I do. Other than that, I’m happy to be here!!

Welcome to the forum Aaron,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

The aerosol "bombs" for cleaning the AC are also effective in helping to remove tobacco smells from the interior.

Follow this link
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Southwest Region forum by following this link
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-southwest-37/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
