Hello
Thank you for creating such a good forum, I have been looking at a jaguar xk8 as well as a xkr and have been researching the many threads here.
Hopfully tomorrow a 2002 xk8 that has had 3 owners with only 33,000 miles will have the right combination of records, ane wear in order to purchase.
I would like an inspection performed, does anybody know a trustworthy mechanic west of Philadelphia Pa. That could perform the inspection.

Went to see the 2002, but it was in the shop?
Took a look at a nice 2000, however the drivers side door was sagging, and it went into restricted mode during my drive, very disappointing!
I'm handy mechanically but the engine lights do worry me.

If in doubt .............. walk away.
Seemingly minor faults with the engine management system can often be very costly to rectify. The only way to scope them and be certain what you're taking on is with a ScanTool.
Keep looking. There's good ones out there.
