Hello all
Just found this forum while looking for an obscure part for my 2002 XKR Conv. Thanks for adding me. I'm in central Florida on the east coast, USA. I've had my XKR going on 18ys now and recently added a 2017 XJ to the livery. I don't really do these forum things much so, forgive me if my IT proficiency is somewhat lacking.
Welcome to the forums Gajrkx,
Few Jaguar owners have kept an XKR for as long. That will have a very desireable history if you ever decide to sell.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-x100-17/ to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...r-atlantic-66/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham

Thanks, Graham. Seems like a long time but it's been a great 2nd fun car. Expensive at times but, what the heck. Like many in the XKR forum, the facia cover on the gear selector illumination module has succumbed to time and probably ozone. Lots of good ideas in the forum for a fix. The car is a survivor and still original at 57K miles and keeping it that way seems to be an obsession for me. Albeit, an expensive one. Great forum though. Glad I found it.

We tend to keep our favorite cars for a loooooong time too. They become a Known Quantity; the devil we know and all that.

Ha! Agreed! I have a predilection toward keeping my autos and such. At least the fun ones. Had my first Vette 20 years. I've got a 2017 Ram just because everyone needs a truck and a 2002 Harley...I think for the same reason.
