Default Hello All, 87 XJ6

New to the Jag world, just purchased a very nice 1987 XJ6 for the wife. Not Running! but I have the skills and now the resources (tech forum) to get this great car back on the road.

I've been able to start trouble shooting the electrical-ignition issues with your help. Many helpful posts on my specific issues. Thank You for this great forum.

Welcome to the forum Don & June,

Excellent advice from Norri,

Hope there's nothing too major you have to fix. If you can't find the information you need through searches, post a question in the XJ6 section.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Welcome Don and all the best getting the kinks worked out. Your lovely lady deserves a lovely lady.

Thank You for the warm welcome all, I am a certified car nut and am excited to get the car running and tuned for driving. Planning some road trips and look forward to some group touring. The car is in very nice shape and just needs some mechanical TLC. June (my wife) has been cleaning and polishing the car and is very excited. She said just sitting in the car and smelling the connolly leather with a british mystery novel is pure bliss. This is her car and is anxious to start driving it. I will post pictures asap and keep everyone up to date. Planning on spending time Thursday on the car.

Thanks again for all your support.

Hey Don........you could start your very own thread with some pics of the old girl in the relevant section. Perhaps some befores, some during pics showing what you've done / changed / upgraded / fixed etc and then some afters too?

Those threads always get a lot of interest and can be like your own little diary from start to finish on the car.
