Hello to All - X300 3.2 1995 MY here
Hi All,
First of all, thanks for some expert posts I could see here.
After been lurking for years, I decided to register. My name is Jorge and I’m the proud owner of a head turner X300 3.2 MY1995, British Racing Green, Oatmeal leather interior. Having a relatively international background, I mostly relate to Portugal, Norway and Switzerland, 3 beautiful countries where I’m lucky to spend most of my time due to private and professional reasons.
My car in Norway is the X300. In general, the X300 has been great, handling regularly -20 to -30 C temperatures, as well or better as other much newer cars.
Due to the harsh winter, it developed some rust problems which I decided to resolve. I know that it may not make economical sense, but I like too much this car to leave it rotten. I also accumulated some other problems, waiting for this moment. So, I decided to bring it to Portugal (great long distance travel, made in great style), where labor is more affordable, and do a complete overall in a reputable car restoration garage. This is where the car is now and I hope that within one month it will be back on the road. By the end of the winter, I’ll drive it back to Norway.
So, this is my short introduction.
Jorge

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I also enjoy long distance driving across Europe in my Jaguar.
After lurking for years, you won't need a link to the X300 tech forum from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is always a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the Europe Region forum by following this link Europe - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.
@ ElinorB: Yes, my car is beautiful. A real hit. The problem resides underneath, where the salty Norwegian roads caused some damage. That will be fixed now :-) I will be replacing the front cross member and while I'm there, shock absorbers, springs, all possible bushings and bolts and nuts.
All remaining reasonable accessible parts will be sandblasted and painted, or replaced if I can find good used ones.
I really look forward to see it back on the road.
