Smile Hello to all of you from Amsterdam!

A good day to all of you, dear Jaguar and Daimler car lovers!
My name is Jerome and I am from Holland.
52 years young (so almost a classic )
I hope to find some nice ´´colleagues´´ in our field of interest here and above all to obtain usefull information about our sweeties (I am talking cars, people)

I will upload a few pics of my ride, a gorgeous and very well maintained Daimler Super V8 LWB, fully ´´loaded´´ from beginning 2001.
Only 68k miles now, from new! And as new , as you should believe.
But nono, NOT for sale!

Happy to have found this forum.

Hello from Germany, fellow Daimler driver, and welcome to the forum!

Your "D" looks very noble, congratulations. Who mounted the leaper on the bonnet? Was it you or the previous owner?

Welcome to the forum Jerome. That is a very lovely Daimler.

We have quite a few members in Holland, have a look at the link in my signature for our European sub-section.

Well, the previous (first) owner had it placed on the bonnet off factory, since he liked it so much..
And I can live with it, no problem.
It is a removable one too (bajonet click) from Arden Germany, so safe to have it when driving in an area that is not too ´safe´´.
This is a collectable and most wanted item...

The first owner was the president of the Schleswig Holstein State , a part of Germany, and a friend of the present PM Angela Merkel.
She once even sat in the back...

I bought/imported it from Germany, near Hamburg.

Nice story. However, I can only guess who was the one. For from 1993 to 2005 Heide Simonis was Ministerpräsidentin of S.-H.and she's no friend of Mrs. Merkel.

May your Daimler always have a good sip of fuel in the tank and a handbreadth of air between it and other cars.

But her husband/friend sure was a Merkel friend and he drove the Daimler ...
