Default Hello! Another new member

Hi all,

A brief hello. But also a cheeky reach out to a moderator to approve another post.

@GGG I have made two posts here which need a moderator to approve before they show - stupidly I thought something had gone wrong so would you mind ignoring/deleting the earlier reply and allowing the second more recent one to pass?

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...issues-269088/

I currently have (insert dirty words) a Range Rover with the epic AJ133 engine, my main reason for joining the forum as the knowledge here on that powerplant seems fantastic. However I have owned a string of Jaguars over the years starting with a few XJ40's before moving onto an X308 XJR which my father passed down to me, I still have that car and one day would love to restore it. He still owns a lovely XKR with the AJ133, I suspect he is to blame for my JLR affinity and certainly has a lot to answer for!

@GGG I have made a mistake and don't want to clutter up @kansanbrit 's great timing chain thread.

Would you be able to suggest a good section for my posts to live in?

Welcome to the forums Rob,

My first suggestion is to read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Attempting to post images by "copy & paste" results in thousands of lines of code in a post. Here's the first few rows of yours in kansanbrit's thread .............. it goes on and on and on after this:

Not surprisingly, I've removed all the images.

Graham

Thank you Graham!

Thank you for the welcome, I did indeed read through your 'getting started' post just after posting a load of junk (sorry all).

I am unfamiliar with this forum platform, am I able to copy and paste images into posts normally (once my 10 posts/3day period is up?)?.

Would you be able to remove my posts and any replied from @kansanbrit's thread here:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...issues-269088/

I feel very bad to have clogged up his thread while learning the ropes as a new member.

Thanks for the help
Rob

Rob,

I've pruned your posts from kansanbrit's thread leaving just his complaint and your apology.

Images have to be uploaded to the forum as files and cannot be included in a post by "copy & paste". I've arrowed the menu option for this:

This will allow you to browse your device for the required image files.

Graham
