Hello from arizona
I drive an old but nice 2001 s-type 3.0. Not bad for my first car ever, eh? But I am actually having problems though with what I think is the gearbox, when I start the car and switch to reverse the car jerks violently and when I shift back to park, it occasionally makes a metal banging noise like its struggling to change to park. Can I get some insight on this or direction to where I can take this issue on the forum? Thanks!

I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type forum with this question so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
