Hello,
New to Jaguar. Bought a 1999 XJ8L in great shape. It was a great deal. Than I found out why, A-drum. Thanks to the forum I was able to drop the transmission and replace the drum. Now its running great.

I can see you've already found your way to the X308 tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

We like to read how someone was able to fix their car by reading these forums. Congratulations on your ability to repair your transmission.
There's usually a reason someone gets rid of a car, sometimes more than one. As you say, you discovered the reason for yours.
