I love my kitty. Trust me when I say where I live there aren't alot of Jags rolling around, so people break thier necks looking at it. Literally everyday someone tells me how nice a car it is, across all age groups, races, and genders, they all seem to love it. I also get people always telling me how they've seen my car here or there or passing or parked or whatever. Complete strangers mind you. I've had more cars in my life then I car to count, but this is the only one that has ever garnered so much attention. Every police officer in my area, city/state/sherriffs have all pulled me over, to see who it was driving and to get a good look at the vehicle. They all leave me alone now, but when I first got it I was getting pulled over left and right, the car is that distinct.
I got the car with a tick over 90k miles (90,077 to be exact) and it now has a little over 106. It doesn't have any MAJOR issues, aside from my AC which isn't leaking, yet noone can figure out why it's not working. The consensus is it's something somewhere in the dash, and I've had the dash pulled but everyone is still clueless. Again though, not alot of jags rolling around here so not alot of experienced people to work on them. Seeing how it's gotten colder, I'm just going to wait until spring and bite the bullet and take it to a dealer and let them bend me over and let them fix it. Other then that, I've only had to change the brake pads, the right front ABS wheel speed sensor and wiring harness, and the oil sensor thing that makes your oil light blink when your driving. Although all my fluids look good, I'm still planning on flushing every fluid I can get to myself, starting with the P.I.T.A transfer case, which I'm going to start a thread because of something I've seen on YouTube that I'm wondering if it would work, but we'll get to that later.
The car runs like a dream, it's a blast to drive, and where I live there's only two types of roads, straight as an arrow or super twisty, so needless to say Im an "aggressive" driver....ok, won't lie I drive this thing like a Porsche.
I love this forum as I do most of the work on my cars myself, as long as I can reach it and get to it. If
I ever have to go too far into the engine or come across something beyond my skill set then I'll leave it to a "professional". This forum has taught me alot about this car I didn't know about and is helping me prepare for future problems that will inevitably arrive. I've read about every thread on the X-Type but I figured it was finally time to register, since I have some questions I need to ask.
Thank you all in addvance for all the future help you're all about to give me, and I'm honored to be a part of such a unique community.
As you've already found your way to the X-Type forum there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Hello, Mike,
Congratulations on your new and Unique-to-your-area Jaguar!
Soooo many of us have your experience (perhaps without police attention) when it comes to The Public's attention to our Jaguars; of Any style.
It's for sure Jaguars aren't as common as, say, Toyota or Ford or Chevy. But they certainly aren't as BORING either, are they!
Welcome! (Y'all) I think that many of us have had the "stranger compliment" experience. I live in northern California, but own property in eastern Montana, Once I leave California, I rarely see another Jaguar on the road. The downside to this is when in Montana, the closest Jaguar dealer is two states away... It is a good thing to have the forum as a resource!
