Default hello from England !

Hi, just thought I`d say a quick "hello" to everyone . I`m new to the forum , so do not know quite what to expect . I have owned an X Type Jaguar for a few years now . . . and will be looking at putting a set of alloys on them shortly . I was attracted to the site , having seen a modernised/customised X Type Jaguar from a member called "exexpat" . I was hoping to have a chat with him before I make my alloy purchase , which will be in the next few days . His car is extremely classy and tastefully done . I think I have found some great looking 20" alloys and with the help of changing the existing bolt pattern will hopefully go onto the car . . . but I wanted to check if there would be sufficient clearance from the wheel arches and brakes !? and if there was anything else I needed to adjust . Thankyou in advance for any replys .

Welcome aboard.

I can't answer your X-Type questions but I know you'll like it here. Good group, fun, and lots of informed participants.

Cheers
DD

Welcome. Hope you get your questions answered. There are alot of guys with some nice rims on their X-types so I dont think you will have a problem finding your answers. Some nice customized X-types hanging around also that should be able to help you out.

+1 on the rest of the welcomes Paul

Exexpat's X type is stunning and the ride looks awesome.....probably no one better to advise you I guess......get yourself over to the X type section and check things out...

You might find the off topic good for fun, maybe check out the mug shot thread and add yours?

Some good guys and great techs, top vendors and more to come....all good

In the meantime I've upgraded you manually to full forum access so you can better view the site

Thanks everyone for such a warm welcome . . . I have managed to have a chat with "exexpat" and have shortlisted my list of possible alloys . . . my two favourite choices do not seem to be available in England ! but loads of these in the US . . . damm it ! Either way I will have some brand new shiny rims soon . Thanks again...keep in touch .

Ya, Jeremy is your 20" wheel, poked and stretched, slammed guy. He'll have great advice. I think he's had a half dozen sets of wheels in the past couple years. Funny but I would have thought you'd have a bigger selection in our bolt pattern over there.
