Hello from England!
Hello!
happy new owner of a 2001 4.0 XJR. Car is exretmely relaxing to drive and once a few small problmes have been sorted out hopefully last a good long time. I'm based near London, UK and do most of the mechanics with my dad. previous cars were mostly modified Jap cars, last one a Nissan 350Z.

Welcome to the forums! Glad to have a fellow X308
comrade coming on from the UK.
Well, the Jag is at least as "sport focused" as a 350z,
I can recall from personal experience that they will need
quite a lot of upgrades to be faster than a stock XJR on
the road or the drag strip. Just so you know, the XJR posts
identical skidpad grip (.88g) to a 350z, the braking from 70
is only 4ft longer, and it accelerates through the 1/4 mile in
.4s faster (13.7 v 14.1). And on the highway the 350z absolutely doesn't
stand a chance. On a road course it's a better fight because of the
Nissan's lighter weight.
Cheers and welcome,
Ian

Yes the Jag is definitely faster and technically superior. The 350Z felt sportier as steering was a lot tighter / sharper and it's a smaller car I guess. I like the Jag mroe though and having four seats again is defintiely nice!
