Hello everyone~
I'm a long time bimmer & mercedes fan and all of a sudden I'm so into xk8/xkr (x100). Don't know why.... I guess I'm getting old?
Anyway, I really enjoy reading the valuable information about xk8/xkr on this forum. Hopefully, I can contribute some useful tips about generic DIY stuff.
I do pretty much everything by myself except engine & transmission overhauls. Currently, I am studying how to perform complete engine & transmission dismantle and reassembly.
I am teaching mechanical engineering at a small university.

It sounds like you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also use the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/ to find other members in your region.

I have never read that "Getting Old" is a prerequisite for Jaguar ownership.
