Default Hello everyone!

Greetings from the sunshine state (Florida)

I recently bought my very first Jaguar! I've always owned Japanese or Swedish cars such Toyota and Volvo. I was browsing on craigslist one day in search of a motorcycle and I surprisingly ended up buying a jaguar for low price. A british racing green 2002 Jaguar x type AWD 120000 miles for $1800. It looks and runs great and I am happy with my purchase. Three problems I noticed and I did notice some of these are very common. Cooling fan module doesn't work causing the engine or radiator to overheat if I am not in motion, The speedometer doesn't work, and I have a check engine light for bank 1 and bank 2 O2 sensors that need to be replaced. I will be going to my local junk yard today to search for the cooling fan module and we will see what I can find.

Thank you all for making me feel welcomed. I appreciate that. As I mentioned, I went to the junkyard today and I was unable to find what I was looking for. I contacted Nationwide Auto recycling about the cooling fan module and they said it's $75 + $15 UPS shipping in case anyone was looking for it. I will be ordering that plus I will order denso o2 sensors on ebay and I should be good to go. I noticed the speedometer working today so that seems to be inconsistent but I will deal with it for now. Once again thank you for the welcome I'll keep everyone updated on my progress.

Now you know why the car was for sale. This happens with cars of a certain age, especially of the owner hasn't kept up with problems as they arise. Eventually there are so many thing wrong that they throw in the towel so to speak, and sell the car.

You'll find help and assistance in the X-type section though, and after a while your car will be humming like new.
