Default Hello everyone!

Hello everyone.

I'm John, a retired teacher, I'm 56, and I live in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands, not far from Alton Towers theme park and the cities of Derby and Stoke-on-Trent in England.

I used to own an XJ40, but I've bought an X300 3.2S in Brooklands Green. It's in pretty good nick for a 1996 car with 130+k miles on it, but there's room for some gentle tinkering and improving. I'm due for a major bit of surgery at the moment, so having the car will give me a big incentive to get well, start pottering round in the garage and visit a few local shows.

This seems like a friendly place, and I'm in the process of reading through the past threads which catch my eye.

Welcome to the forum,

There's always some tinkering to be done.
Good luck with the surgery, it will give you a good chance to catch up on the old threads while you are laid up.

The X300 series was the car that put reliability into Jaguar. Not before time, do I hear you say ?
