Hey everybody! I'm glad to be here! I've been using this great site for a while to look up information relating to the S-type and it's been incredibly helpful.

Just a quick bio: I'm a 1st year elementary music teacher, just completed my M.Ed., and loving new chapter to my new life.

I previously owned a 2000 Lincoln LS V8 and loved that car, but unfortunately totaled it 2 years ago in a freak car accident. Ironically but happily, my present Jag was the only vehicle in my price range that didn't have at least 150,000 miles on it and was actually in great condition.

I've owned my 2000 3.0 S-Type since then and I adore it. What a lucky find it was! It's age is starting to show now and I'm excited to fix it back up into prime condition, and I'm hoping that this forum and the sages on it will be able to provide me with some guidance. Currently I'm trying to find some information on replacing both front upper control arms, and I've been fighting with what seems like a persistent vacuum leak, no heat from the a/c, and shift slipping problems.

However, this is an intro post! Thank you for letting me in and I look forward to enjoying all the talk about these great vehicles we get to own!

The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
