Default intro

Hi, my name is Dave, i do not have a Jag at present, had a '63 MK2 back in early '80s that i restored, very sorry i sold it, it was beautiful.

Thinking of doing a project XKE roadster, don't have a million $ or i would buy an Eagle.

I want a driver that i can take on some US road trips, series 1 is the model that rings my chimes, if i can't find one at a reasonable price with a good motor i have considered dropping in a newer GM or ford V6, ( not a V8 ) possibly with turbo, would like a 6+ speed automatic, does anyone know if this can be done without chopping up the frame and body parts ?

I realise that a series 3 V12 has lots more space but the body style just does not do it for me.

Any info appreciated, and hope i have not offended too many of you with the engine swap idea.

Cheers, Dave.

Hello, Dave,
If you find the car you want, it will be YOUR car and you will have the right to do anything you want to do with it. No one should be offended at that, because it's YOUR car!
Welcome from ElinorB.
