Default Hello Fellow Jag Enthusiasts

I’ll start out by saying this is my first post on the forums as I am new but happy to be here. I’ve been driving my 2008 XJ for over a year now and love it to death. There is a plethora of upgrades/replacements I’d like to do to my car but with money/time being an issue (I’m going into my first year of college this fall) I am going to have to take this process slow. With that being said, I thought it wouldn’t be harmful to ask about probably one of the last things I’d to the car, which is put a supercharger in it. I have the naturally aspirated 4.2 L V8 and am curious as to how costly, problematic, and technical this process is. How far would I have to go in terms of tuning and replacing parts for Better performance and Compatibility with a supercharger in the mix?

Welcome to the Forums.

WITHOUT appearing negative, that list of alterations would be very long indeed, and I doubt economically workable.

This is NOT the Tech Section, so I will leave it at that.

The members in the XJ8 (X350) Tech Section will better advise on that.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Harlethan,

I can see you've already found your way to the X350 forum with this question so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Southwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-southwest-37/ to find other members in your region.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
