Thanks all. Looking for an '06 to '16. Right now I have my eye on a 2009 XK convertible, easily affordable. Has around 76k miles. Help me with particulars to look for on these, please.

My 2007 XK 4.2 Coupe (owned for four years) was the most reliable and troublefree Jaguar I've had in more than forty five years. I recently replaced it with a 2015MY XK 5.0 Signature Coupe and hope this one is similarly reliable. I go for Coupes because they are more suited to our climate in England. If we had more sun than rain, I'd go for a Convertible.
With any used Jaguar, a complete service history is crucial. 12K miles OR 12 Months on early XK's and 15K Miles or 12 Months on the 5.0 litre. At 76K, the one you are considering should have been serviced annually - eight services.
Spend some time with the Owner's Handbook checking everything works. Seemingly minor electrical faults can often be very expensive to fix.
All XK's came with 2 SmartKeys. expensive to replace if missing or non operational.
