Hello from Germany
Hi colleagues, I have just bought my Jag No. 7 - this time a XJ8 from 1998 with about 100000 kilometers on the clock.
I have been a regular reader here and love the quality of the posts, pictures etc. Unfortunately my knowledge of the english language needs some update - my time in school ended more than 30 years ago. Hopefully my english teacher does not read or post here. I understand nearly everything, but writing is critical...
My personal background: I live in Cologne and I`m an officer of the german armed forces. Related to my cars, my second longtime-love are aircooled Porsche 911, which I own since nearly 20 years.

Welcome to the forum Bernd,
Good to have you here.
As a regular reader you probably don't need a link but, in case you do, follow this link XJ ( X308 ) XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X308 section for help, advice and information.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the Europe Region section by following this link Europe - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in mainland Europe.
Let's see some pics of the XJ8 and 911.
Enjoy the forum.
Graham

Hello, thx for the warm welcome! Interesting to discover enthusiasts even from my direct neighbourhood here (special greetings to Wesseling;-)).
I actually hope not only to consume, but from time to time even to add some of my experiences with my different previous Jag-models (one XJ12 series 3, two XJ40, two X300 and now the second X308). In fact, I just recognize that my new X 308 is already number 7 in total.
As requested, I try to post two pictures of my cars (by the way: my daily winter-driver is additionally a black Volkswagen Golf). The Jag still has the license plate of my predecessor; it will probably be registered in Cologne after winter in spring 2013 (license plates here start with a "K" for "Köln", the german expression for "Cologne"), although I love the cosy athmosphere of the Jag especially during the bad weather period. The picture of my 911 was made close to the "Nürburgring", the famous race track about 70km to the west from Cologne called "green hell". If anyone will visit this area and needs some information, please to not hesitate to contact me.
