Default Hello from Michigan

Hello guys.

Just pick up a 2005 XJR and I'm a proud owner right now. Drove the car back from 800 miles and sure do love it. Didn't know what else to post right now so I'll just post some pic for now.

Thanks.

Welcome aboard, nice looking R. Now, do tell, did you actually drive 800 miles with painters tape all over the front of it? That might classify as a bit over the top!

Yup. 800+ miles across 4 states with the tape on. I think that pic is either at Tennessee or Kentucky's rest area during a bathroom run. Sure do get a lot of "WTF" look from many people either on the highway or during rest stop.

I might imagine!! People were probably thinking you didn't know that duct tape was rated for higher speeds than painters tape! When I was in high school, working at a body shop, the nickname for duct tape was "hundred mile an hour tape" as so many people used to to keep their cars together!
