My Wife and I are the proud owners of two cats. A beauiful turquoise 1996 XJS with 58,000 miles and a Gray 2007 XJ8 with 41,000 miles on the clock.

The XJS has been in the family since it was purchased by my wife's Aunt brand new off the showroom floor in Dallas, TX. We aquired it in 2001 and believe me when I say she is truly a head turner.

As for the XJ8 we recently drove it cross country and it is an amazing road trip car.

I think I could write a book about the XJS but enough said for now.

Welcome to the forum. You may not find many posts dealing with the XJS engine on that forum, but check out the X300 forum since they have the same engine and transmission. Most owners agree that is a very robust engine.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
