Hello,
So new to the forum, new to Jaguars.
Located in France, near Chambord.
I bought a damaged Xjs, a barn find adverted as no starting and with body damages. It stayed like that for many many years, unused under a sticked cover which didn't helped it to get some air, instead it captured moisture and maintened it locked under the plastic cover.
It's 3 weeks now and waking it up was not a straight line. Many troubles were haunting it but i bite harder to revive it. I wanted it so much.
There is a lot of documents and videos on the internet but some are usefull, some are misleading. I came to the conclusion that one can't trust every documents related to a model only from the year. Finally after some work, now it runs and purrs as it should.
There is a lot of work on it and i hope to solve each trouble one after the other until mint.
Your XJS looks very nice for a barn find, not sure if this a before or after you've done the work on it but eithe rway its looks very nice.
I had a 92 XJS 6 cyl. and it was one of the best cars I ever had, good luck with your project ...

Thank you all, well it could look nice but there are rust parts near wheels wells at rear. I'm not at all able to do some body works but with patience, i'll try to make it nice. The interior suffered from lots of water or moisture ingress, the roof is sagging, the electricity needs a serious check and rebuild. Today i had to remove the instruments panel, the odometer was stuck and voltage gauge was dead. It's sorted and i'm happy to bring it back to life, step by step. I don't know if it'll be fun as i used to drive an old audi quattro and before an amg 600 but i'm getting old and finally, the design and a simple engine got me.
I appreciate more to rebuild this car and enjoy small victories against trouble this xjs may have. It's a pleasure one can't figure to drive an xjs
It's a 1988 3.6l. It's indeed satisfying when something broken comes back to life
These years cars have something to say, not like modern cars which can be interesting but they left their soul behind. Too filtered and finally annoying cars. With these old cars, it's an adventure and driving them must be somehow deserved.
