Hi, all, Just found this forum. I've owned several Jags. My current is a '97 XJ6L (X300) with 34K miles. Definitely the best of the jags I have owned. I recently ran across websites that report only 203 units of this particular model (X300 XJ6L) were ever manufactured, and find that extremely hard to believe. Can that possibly be true? By the way, I am the second owner of this car and have had it for ten years now. Mostly parked in my garage. Kelley's Blue Book says it's worth only about $4-5K, and I find that absurd! This gorgeous car runs like a dream and I've decided to start using it as a daily driver instead of storing it. I consulted a local classic car shop and was told people don't want older Jags because they think they're money pits. Well, in ten years, I've spent maybe a total of maybe $1K for new tires, a new battery, oil changes, an AC freon charge, windshield wiper blade and -- well , that's about it! NO Major Repairs needed. I just replaced the ORIGINAL 28 year-old Pirelli tires because of probable dry rot, not wear. True, this car does not have a GPS navigation system, backup camera, blue-tooth or seat belt warning bells like my BMW. It can't drive itself like a Tesla. I couldn't care less! It's a fabulous car and it's a JAGUAR!! I can't take it anywhere without somebody giving me a thumbs up or asking if I want to sell it. It's just pure class.
