Default Hello from Queensland

Hi all,
Newly acquired 1998 XJ8.
My first Jag so this forum is going to be amazingly useful.
Have owned many older V8's, usually Ford and usually no older than the late 70's.
Love to tinker so I think I'm going to have fun (hmmmm).
Flew down to Sydney and drove home over 11 hours. Cruise control stopped working three hours into the trip and failsafe light appeared. Discovered this website on the side of the road in minor panic. But found out nothing major was wrong, turned the key and had 8 hours of fun.
Thank you to all who post incredibly helpful info.
These cars appear to need lots of attention so being able to log in and learn is awesome.
See you in the threads or at events.
PS the 9 LIVES number plate is on it's way.

See! Your Jaguar loves you back! It gives you a chance for more bonding. These cars are really quite insecure, a fact which few owners fully understand. They need Constant attention and reassurance of their place in the family. Only then do they become dependable and fun to drive.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum 9 LIVES,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

It sounds like you've probably already found your way to the model forum but if not, follow this link XJ XJ8 / XJR ( X308 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X308 forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Enjoy the forums.
