Default Hello from Singapore

Dear Members,

Greetings!

I am T20 from Singapore.

Just got myself a 2011 XJ 3.0 diesel twin turbo, Euro 4.

Hope to learn from the senior members here.

Cheers!

Welcome T20,

A 2011 X351 shouldn't be giving you any trouble. Mentioning 'Euro 4' emissions standard in your description suggests Singapore import regulations are strict.

Hi Graham, Jim, Chris, Keith, Norri and All,

Thanks a lot for the warm welcome.
I have edited my signature, as advised.
Nice gestures there, Jim for the upgrade.

I actually wanted to wait for the arrival of the Euro 5 which will attract lower diesel supplementary tax here.
Since the dealer was giving rebates to off-set the extra tax associated with Euro 4, I just grabbed it.

Prior to that, I owned a 2010 XF 3.0 petrol briefly before it was traded-in for the XJ.

Diesel good choice. Since you have the tax difference discount included, it is best of both worlds. Euro V does not give dpf problem and you can pump the diesels in Malaysia.

Hi JimC64,

I see that you have had a few VAG cars.

Do you know:

1. whether there is any diagnostic tool like Ross-tech's VCDS for VAG cars, for Jag?

2. whether it's possible to have video-in-motion or TV-free for Jag's Nav system other than to pay for the Dual View? I am looking at software tweak instead of hardware add-on. If someone has already done this, are you able to point me the direction?

3. whether it's possible to add personal POI's like red light cameras to the Nav map?

I am sorry to bother you with these questions. Perhaps I should do a search in this forum and read up more.

Thanks a lot.
