Default Hello from Toronto

Hi folks,

I'm a newbie from just outside of Toronto, and I may (probably) be getting a 1988 1/2, V12 XJS from my mother.
This car was her dream car and she'd be gutted to sell it cheap and have it driven into the ground. I'd like to keep it in the family and keep it stock as possible. The end goal is to have a reliable grand tourer my wife and I can do trips in now that our kids are growing up.
You'll be seeing me lurking in the forums and asking questions around making this car reliable- I'm not a mechanic nor do I have the time to wrench on the weekends.

Welcome to the forums sum_guy,

Good to have you with us.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJS forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Canada Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/canada-73/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Welcome to the Forums.

Simple car, and as said, easily maintained.

Good luck.

Thanks everyone, reading through things at least hasn't scared me off. My signature should be a bit more informative and I'll add to it as I get details.
