Default Restoration/Repair Project with my Dad

Hi there! My dad recently purchased these two of an auction, i think its SGD11K for both? I dont know anything too deep about cars as he is the one who is more familiar with it. I really do wanna help him out in repairing/restoring the cars. I believe the cars have been in a garage for about a decade? +/- a few years. Any advice would be much appreciated

G’day deskinabox,

Wow! Two double sixes and they look to be in pretty good condition.

Here is a link to lots of Jag publications you will find very handy,

Where abouts are you?

Cheers and good luck,
Jeff.

Initially he planned to have one car driveable and the other as a spare parts. If we can make both cars work, he'll pass on the other to me!

Hydraulic engine mounts are no longer available. Some workarounds have been documented here.

As with any car that's been out of service for a decade, be sure to change the brake fluid before taking it out on the road.

any idea what is wrong with them? Do they start?

Brake fluid is a great idea. Coolant has anti corrosion properties that don’t last forever so change that too. The fuel pumps tend to seize up with disuse. Don’t buy anything expensive, the cheapest fuel pumps on earth have my car running for ten years now. There are TWO identical fuel pumps in the tank. There are two short fuel lines between the fuel rails that get hard. Power steering pumps leak but are very easy to rebuild.
