Many years ago, when we were young, we were returning from a long vacation when the exhaust system of our old Alfa started to disintegrate. As I didn't have one of those clamps, I had to fasten a rope around the whole car to keep the remnants of the exhaust pipe in place.

I busted a bolt that held the exhaust pipe to the maniold on my junk 34 ford v8 racer.
Not having the will or tools to remove the manifold and drill out the busted bolt, I used a similar clamo to do the job. it worked!!

About a decade later, I am in Germnay. Serving in a unit equiped with WWLl vintage hal tracks. Ugh, our battalion motor cheif busted a similar bolt. He made a similar repair.
No elecrtic tools. All hand.

Whe we got new tires fro the front axle, Unimagenoable force was used to get the old ones off the wheels

I have had to use duct tape to effect a repair on the side of the road in order to keep going. But at home in the shop, I generally strive for something that nobody except myself would recognize as being non-stock. I've contributed a few such MacGyverish patches to the X308 subforum and implemented a few suggested by others but so far, parts seem mostly still available for the X250. Tho I was seriously tempted to try the coolant level float hack a couple weeks ago when I got an error message the day before I was to depart on a road trip. However my local Jaguar dealer had the reservoir in stock and it was quicker to install the actual part than to implement the hack.

While in college I had a ratty old MGA and when driving at speed the wind would pull up the convertible top and the faster I went the more the leading edge of the top would separate from the top of the windshield. Not a huge problem except when it was snowing and the snow would blow in there right into your face. Finally got a little tiny C-clamp to hold it down.
