Default Hello from UK

New member checking in as required.

I've had my Series 2 XJ6 for nearly 25 years now, the XJ Sport for 13, and picked up an XK8 this past weekend (only taken me about 22 years since I first began to see the test cars zipping up behind me on the Fosse Way - I SWORE I'd have one).

So, I live in Warwickshire, plenty of Jaguar heritage round here, from Sir William Lyons' old gaff nearby, to the aforementioned Fosse Way which is a favourite road to catch glimpses of new and interesting machines going to and fro - some nice and shiny, some cammo'd up to the eyeballs. Lots of friends went to work at "The Jag" back in the day, a couple still work there designing, I think it is natural for me to love the old beasts (um, that's the cars, not my friends!)

Been dipping into various Jag fora over the years, but haven't had the need or desire to get my hands too dirty. This old XK8 has a few "issues" though, so it looks like I'll be plumbing the knowledge pool, and hopefully will be able to give something back, even if it is just (im)moral support.

Cheers

Welcome.

The S2 is still the pick of them all in my opinion.

The XK8 will be fun, and that is what it is all about.

Hello, Mr, Grey,
That's quite a fleet you've owned. My all time favorite Jag is the Series 2. I think it's the Prettiest of ALL the Jags ever to come out of Brown's Lane! And not just because I own one either!

However, my NEXT Jag will be an Xk8.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Several times when I've PX'd a Jaguar in the past, the price offered has been so low that I've thought of keeping the car. Only storage space and road tax put me off collecting!
