Default Hello from the UK

Hello everyone, I've been a lurking here for a while and though I really should get my finger out and register. So here I am.

I bought my 2003 X350 XJR just April 2017 and she has just passed the annual MOT test with no advisories. That's not to say it has all been plain sailing for the past year although I did get the car quite cheap. So far I have.;
Replaced flaky thermostat
Replaced expansion tank due to crack
Replaced super charger oil.
Replaced both serpentine belts
Replaced bushes in aux heater pump
Serviced car when I got home with it Air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, pollen filter, oil filter, oil anti freeze
New tyres all round.
Replaced power steering fluid and put the special anti squeak fuid in.
New wipers.
Replaced headlamp washer pump, very rusty.
Added mud flaps
Replaced old mats with rubber ones.
Replaced phone with Bluetooth module.
Replaced crappy internal mic with external one.
Scrubbed interior as it was very scabby it has come up really well.
Replaced bootlock mechanism that I managed to break.
Polished headlamps due to fogged lenses.
Traced water ingress in boot, trunk, to dirt build up under the bot seal.
Replaced a few bits of broken or missing trim
Replaced passenger window regulator due to a rusted through cable then the drives one went as well! Have ordered another passenger side one and will strip it to fix the drives side one.
Still got to fix the lack of warm air on the drivers side.
Replaced wheel nuts as they were nearly all rubbish
Replaced dodgy aftermarket wheel center caps with proper jag ones.
I need to get the wheels refurbished as there are at least 2 are buckled and as they are the 20 inch split rims this is not cheap.
I need to replace the front bumper as it has been knocked in the past and fixed badly and there are a few other paint jobs to sort.
Replaced the interior lights with led bulbs
Need to to the gearbox flush at some point to.
Replaced the front bumper undertray and radiator shroud thingy as they were both smashed up.
Caldoofy intake pipe is needed as well.

Hardly touched the car really! I really do love the car but not so much the 20mpg though lol.

Welcome to the forum JoeDredd,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

It sounds like you've already found your way to the X350 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Thanks. I do love my Jag but everyday is a school day with them lol. Potential suspension faults is the one thing that keeps me up at night.

"Hardly touched the car..." Really?!!
That's almost like my car on which I repaired, replaced, readjusted or otherwise fiddled with no fewer than 77 items before I found my way here!!

That's why you love the car! You're BONDED!

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Good luck.
