Exclamation Hello_New_Looking for Insight (so I won't be an idiot)

Hello Forum,

I am older (50+) however I've never owned a Jaguar (closest thing was in my youth I had a Triumph TR-6. Cool car but a mechanical mess, ha ha.
Short version now is I was thinking I might be interested in a late 60's MK2 (restomod). Trying for menacing but reliable (handling type vehicle, think canyon carving like a nice 911S). *I used to have an older 911S so that is what my brain thinks of..

How much $$ are we talking to take a pretty nice MK2 Jaguar into a restomod (i.e. strip it down, make sure the running gear is up-to-date and reliable with good brakes, and such. No, I'm not against LS swap). I have friends who make crazy Toyota Supras so I have some connections for updating the leather seats, etc and also paint but I don't have any connections on suspension, engine/trans, etc. Would really appreciate some guesstimates so I can decide if it is worth pursuing. Thank you again for your time and expertise

Hello,
Northern California Canyon Carving sounds suspiciously like Feather River Canyon. Am I close?
