Talking Help an aspiring x-type jaguar owner

Hello! I've come across a friend selling his 2004 x-type 3.0
I was about to buy a 2005 volvo s60 2.5t until I found this jag.
The main reason to consider the jag over the volvo is price.
$5,000 jag verses $8,000 volvo.
I'm leaning towards the jag because it has only seen the jag store for service, on time, every time.
(AND THE PRICE)
What kind of problems should I be looking for?
The jag has 110k miles. Is $5,000 a decent price?
Any information or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Alex
