Default Help Needed or Advise Please

Hi there,

I am now a proud owner of a Jag 2005 2.7d Auto however after paying a huge amount of money out it developed a fault on the way home.
It pulls like a tank with awesome power and ticks over great, however when your on the motorway doing about 60 sitting at 2500 revs it keeps dipping down to 2000 revs like its trying to change down gear or something, and when it changes from 2nd to 3rd its almost like its trying or going to cut out but eventually changes, also had a message on dash Gearbox Fault..

Any advise from any wise jag owners please
