Hi
I have just bought myself a 2007 XK Coupe and am having great difficulty in containing my excitement. I am hoping to be able to pick it up from the dealer in Sydney (thats 900km away from me, I am in Melbourne) this coming weekend, all going well.

The car has only done just over 55,000km and I am just waiting on the call from the dealer saying that it is ready to go. It had a service today and a complete check over. The only fault found was a faulty motor in one of the side mirrors. Tomorrow it goes to the upholsterer to repair the headlining. The fabric had dropped on the driver's side. Hopefully no other issues arise after I pick it up

I am looking forward to the drive home to get acquainted with the car.

Now looking less likely that my car will be ready by weekend. Dealer telling me that they are waiting on a part that may not arrive until next week. The anxiety of not being able to get my hands on the car I bought over a week ago is killing me. Now looks like the car will be put on a truck early next week for the trip to Melbourne instead of me driving it down. That's an extra week to wait. Torture!!

Waiting for parts from dealers can be stressful. They dont have that "I want my car" sense.
