Hey Ya'll! 1999 XJ8
Greetings from the foothills of NW GA. I am a first time Jag owner, having just acquired a 1999 XJ8, platinum, with what I think is referred to as the "mens' club" interior (black leather w/ dark burlwood trim). I am retired, and a DIY car hobbyist. I also drive a 1997 BMW 328iC, and a 2000 Mercedes SLK230 (and, oh yeah - my wife's Honda Pilot when I have no choice!). I'm not bad with a wrench, and keeping my cars detailed to a showroom finish is my therapy, pride, and joy. I have "refreshed" (not really restored) about a dozen cars, mostly German and American. I just plain love cars and driving them. I am looking forward to being both a student and a contributor (in due time) of this forum. Just for trial, I will attempt to attach a photo of the front of the car after wash/clay bar/polish (no sealant or wax yet) today. Happy to be here! Thanks!
