Default Hi all...

Hi, Im joe,

I have worked on a lot of Jag interiors over the year and finally decided im going to buy one, thinking old school, I currently have a 1993 calibra that i have "restored" and got the bug, im thinking of getting a barn find and bringing it not only back to life but into the 21stC.

I am usually a very active member of forums i am on, i will be asking lots of questions about certain cars to understand which one would be best for me and offering lots of info with regards to my experiences, i also have a great little black book of contacts which i am more than happy to offer should people need paint, interiors or second hand parts

Look forward to eventually buying a jag and becoming part of the group!

Hello, Joe,
Barn finds aren't in every barn (none in the barn where I grew up LOL), but I'm sure you'll be looking hard.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum Joe,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

What era Jaguar do you have in mind?
The 60's model are becoming hard to find in the UK but 70's onwards are plentiful and cheap to buy. Factor in a lot of time on repairing the ravages of rain and road salt on early ones before you can get onto the interior!

You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

WOW!!! what a welcome!!

I must admit im on a few forums from work related (in the industry... loosely) to every forum of every car ive ever owned... dont know why but i still enjoy going to other meets even if im not in the right car, sometime you just find a great group of people, seems like i have right here too. im also on the facebook pages of them all... and them some restoration (sector i deal with) also some detailing pages... i just go between them all offering any help and advice i can in return for either help from others with my old cars or just because im a nice guy and like to help.

Car wise i honestly dont know, thinking about it i have owned a 55 plate 2.0d x type... i know i wont be having another one of them in a hurry. wasnt a bad car but i want a car with history... its own history too.

I do like big 4 door saloon cars but also love little coupes. one car i know i like... now apologies if i get any of this wrong...
Jaguar XJ12 5,3 Series 2

its the side profile i love.

as you can tell i have no clue what i want i just know im here to learn and eliminate cars as i go along. also offer any help or contacts i have to those of you in need... maybe in return you might take me out for a spin if i attend some shows

Thanks again for the welcome.

Another one for the possibilities - the Series 2 XJ Coupe?

Getting harder to find but a superb car, especially with the V12.
