The proud owner of a 2001 s type 4,0 V8 looking to speak to other owners and get tips on restoration preventative maintenance fault diagnosis and repairs parts etc. Had a couple of s types and x types before. Nothing so far compares with the V8. Took her out for her first blast today. Sure footed comfortable and fast. I’m in love. A bit of exterior cosmetic work to do and headliner and seats to restore (just the usual sag and leather wear on front seats) but before that a major service rust check and assessment of the dreaded plastic tensioners (😄 let’s hope they’ve been uprated / guides are ok so the secondary ones can be replaced with metal). Looking forward to speaking to knowledgable and passionate s type people.
