Just getting another Jaguar after a few years missing cats. It took a little to appreciate a Jaguar without a plate saying "made in Coventry" under the bonnet...
She is an aged beauty (XKR 2000), so we will have to see how she behaves.

Hello, John,
I'm given to understand that it wasn't until after about 2000 that any Ford influence was felt at Jaguar apart from Massive infusions of cash. So you might be alright. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong about that. That's one of the great things about this place, Someone Always knows for sure.

Even without a plate to say so, your Jaguar was still made in Coventry before the Browns Lane factory closed.
I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
