Hi everyone,

I have been stalking the forum for a while and finally I pulled the trigger on a 2006 XJ L which I bought from Alpine dealer in Florida.

That was the first time I bought a vehicle sight unseen and received the car on April 2nd.

unfortunately, on Saturday the seems to be infamous "restricted performance" light came on a mile away from the Dallas Jaguar dealer and the car is at the service since then. I did not even had the chance to put gas in the car since I received it

Seems like this is one of the saddest introductions to the forum. I hope things get solved and "my Jaguar" journey does not end at a lightning speed.

Not a good introduction to Jaguar ownership for you. With luck it'll be nothing worse than the effects of the vehicle standing at the dealers for a while with little use.

First off; congrats on your new Jag! She's beautiful! Secondly; I'm sorry to hear about that problem, hopefully she'll be out driving before you know it! It's worth the wait, I have my '01 XJ8 and she's just amazing; you picked the right car!
