Default Hi everyone

I have a 96 XJ6 Vanden Plas. I have had it for 6 years and getting it was an ambition from age 10 when I saw my first Jag and fell in love. I think the best part of watching Morse on TV was getting to see his red Jag. What a beauty! I am not mechanically minded where cars are concerned and know very little about my car. I found this forum looking for a possible solution to my 'car thinks key is still in ignition' and boy am I glad I did. From my readings, I am hoping you guys will help an absolutely green person get to know her car better so I don't panic at every little unexpected beep.

Welcome to the best Jaguar forum on the net! And fear not, we love questions! It's surprising how your confidence will build as you go along, tackling the little jobs first, building up your tool collection, (great gift ideas for Birthdays and Christmas!!) and bathing in the glow of satisfaction that comes from owning, driving and maintaining your Jag.

Happy motoring.

Welcome to the forum lovemycat,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar Forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X300 tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Southwest Region forum by following this link Southwest US - AZ TX NM OK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Welcome, Lovemycat. Glad to hear you love your cat! Hopefully your VDP has heated seats for the Flagstaff winter. I wonder how many JF members are in Flagstaff? At least one, now. See you in the X300 section.

Thank you, Richard. Sadly, no I don't have heated seats and this morning it was -6 F. I bought sheep skin seat covers to handle the problem - they work really well! :-)
