Default Hi from Finland, engine tech and ems help needed

Hi folks,
I have first Jaguar ems project. I have made several other cars ems upgrades and this needs some special tech advices.

Car is friend's XJ12 S3 Sovereign '86 with 6.0 l engine. Engine is swapped, but all other is original.
The thing is change ecu and ignition. Maybe make some kind project story here in propier sub forum.

First big question is, can I remove distibutor and block hole? Is there some shaft in engine which need remove? Otherwise need leave empty distributor.

Welcome.

No reason a plate cannot be fitted.

The jackshaft that drives that distributor can be left in place, and should be left in place, as the timing chain needs it to be there.

Ok, so I can take distributor out. Idea is put coils on that area. Jackshaft stays in correct place and don't move.
In aircooled VW that shaft needs to move out.
