Default Hi from Merritt BC

Hi, I've watched this forum for some time but just finally created an account.

My first Jaguar was a 1962 Mark II that I bought in 1972 in B.C. It was already in a very rusty condition and I restored the car including interior wood and leather and a rebuild of the engine. I enjoyed it for a few years then sold it (lost track of it).

The next one I bought was while I was living in Northern England. It was an older XJ-6 that was a non runner - it had a broken head stud. I had lots of fun rebuilding the engine. My plan was to use it as a donor car to build one of the kits that is based on the Jaguar. Unfortunately while I was back in Canada for the winter someone decided they needed it more than me and I never saw it again.

I next had a 01 X-Type sedan that I drove for a couple of years in Northern England. It was sold in Ireland when I moved to Dublin.

Then I had a 03 XK-R that I really enjoyed for a couple of summers in Ireland. Loved racing motorcycles off the stop lights

I always thought when I had the 01 X-Type that it would be a great car for Canada with it's all wheel drive. Which led to my current car...a 05 X-Type Estate (Wagon for some) 3.0L

Cheers
