Just purchased an awesome 2001 XK8. But after getting an oil change and putting in 10 gals of 93 octane, the engine light came on with the wording
"Restricted Performance"
What's up with this?

restricted performance is a fail safe mode cause by any number of issues and best to have codes read, post the codes in the XK8/R section for guidance. Any Advance Auto or those type places can read the codes for you free of charge.
