Default Hi - New member

We've owned a 2000 XK8 convertible since 2002. It's Saphire Blue with an Ivory interior. We bought it off of a 2 yr lease with 50K miles (!) but it was Jaguar Certified with an extended warranty. We've only put 35K miles on it since then. However, now the repairs are starting to pile up. I'll be looking for advice as to fair repair prices and practices. A visit to the dealer in the Annapolis, MD area, results is bills of thousands of dollars. It's a fun car, but getting expensive to own. Mike Z

Hello, Mike,
It seems that dealers certainly know how to charge lately. I have no experience with one myself, but the stories like yours abound.

Under those circumstances it's understandable that little things begin to pile up until they become a considerable problem especially after 12 years.

That's why these forums exist; to help Jaguar owners like you who have little desire to buy their local Jag dealer another annuity to fix their own cars (at least partially) and save that money to put gas in the tank and drive the thing! Besides, they last longer when regularly driven.

You'll find lots of other members here who are willing and eager to help you with almost any Jaguar related problem you might have.

Welcome from ElinorB.
