Default Hi from Northern Virginia

Hi all, thanks for the add. I recently bought a 1986 XJ6 Sovereign. I've been reliably told it is Euro model. It's in pretty good shape but is suffering from a bit of rust and sitting for way too long. I'm a long standing Triumph (TR6s) guy and this is my first real venture into Jaguars and fuel injection. I've got three major projects planned for the future: swap the auto trans for a 5 speed, replace a very cancerous (not sure that is word) driver's side floor board, and just maybe upgrade the ECU and and airflow meter with a megasquirt unit and modern airflow meter. BIg dreams I know... I'm still very new to this but I'm loving that 4.2 and the cars gorgeous looks, both inside and out. On the other hand a little frustrated with the climate control system that randomly engages the heat or AC with utter disregard to what's indicated by the switch!

Welcome to the forum Andy,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Mid Atlantic Region forum by following this link

Enjoy the forums.
